SITS Content Handler for COBOL enables users to quickly and comprehensively add COBOL CopyBook messaging capabilities to their solution.

COBOL CopyBook is a widely used format especially with the legacy applications used by large sell-side firms. The SITS Content Handler for COBOL is a generic Content handler that can be configured easily to be used with WBI Adapters. It allows the users to quickly develop and deploy their integration framework with out having to go through the complexity of understanding the COBOL messages.

SITS ContentHandler for COBOL generates Business Object definitions from a COBOL copybook. Users trying to interact with the legacy applications running COBOL, can populate the business objects (generated by the Content Handler) and invoke the ContentHandler to get the COBOL messages. Also Any messages from the legacy applications to the external applications can invoke the ContentHandler and send out the easily understandable Business Objects instead of the COBOL messages.

• Can be used as a standalone product for transforming COBOL messages to XML format or can be used in conjunction with WBI Adapters to take advantage of features provided by WBI adapters in addition to the ones provided by ContentHandler.
• Provides features to dynamically generate business objects that can be used by WBI Adapters taking the COBOL copybook message as a input.
• COBOL copybook message can be changed at runtime with out impacting the whole system
• Can transform a COBOL message to XML or vice versa.
